The 15th Emil Open wrote great stories

The 15th edition of the European Youth Games for the Disabled, Emil Open, has come to an end. For several days, Brno once again became a place filled with sporting enthusiasm, inspiring stories, new friendships and outstanding performances by young athletes.

We were honoured to be one of the main partners of this year’s event. It was a valuable opportunity to support an initiative that gives young people with disabilities not only a platform to compete in sport, but above all the chance to push their own limits, gain new experiences and enjoy a genuine sense of achievement.

Over several competition days, athletes took part in events and matches in athletics, swimming, cycling, archery, boccia, table tennis and many other individual and team sports. The programme also included wheelchair basketball, deaf volleyball, blind football, field hockey and, for the first time, a demonstration of blind baseball. The sporting events were complemented by award ceremonies, concerts, social gatherings and activities for athletes, visitors and event partners.

Many medals were awarded and numerous individual and team achievements were celebrated. Once again, however, Emil Open showed that victory is not always just about finishing first. Every personal limit overcome, every race completed, every successful match and every courageous step onto the starting line was a victory in itself.

The atmosphere throughout the event was fantastic. It was inspiring to witness the determination of the athletes, the commitment of the organisers and volunteers, and the support provided by families, coaches, partners and fans.

We would like to thank the Emil Foundation, the organisers, the volunteers and everyone who contributed to this year’s event. Above all, however, our thanks go to the athletes themselves. Their energy, perseverance and joy of sport are the best reminder that the greatest limits often exist only in our minds.

We are proud to have been part of it. Emil Open 2026 was an outstanding event, and we are already looking forward to the next edition.
